Modern Interior in an Old House with Touch of Late 19th Century

This charming studio apartment is real example, how to create a modern interior in an old house. Its located in Moscow with total living area of 40 square meters and before renovation it was small two room apartment. Due to repair and after no supporting structures demolition was created a very functional and welcoming studio apartment. Interior authors decided to keep original red brick wall from the late 19th century and as a complement to it, they bought a handmade carpet made by the Indians of the Navajo tribe which is located in living area. In this way leaving in the apartment little bit of the old charm.

Designers were successfully combined old style elements together with the modern. One of the most expressive accents are red brick wall, and the other very luxurious accent is French spruce wood floor, that together with red brick wall looks elegant and really rich! As designer Aniela Dlouhy (Анеля Длуги) said, in apartment we tried as little as possible to experiment with color. We selected palette close to the earth colors: gray, beige, brown, shades of blue, and used them throughout the project. Thus leaving all the attention to fantastically beautiful red brick wall and spruce wood parquet. In whole, interior project is worked out amazing with touch of 19 century and modern style arraignment. Take a look!
